Review of Chinese Baking Contest Final

December 17 每 18, 2009: Chinese Baking Contest West Area Selection was held in Chengdu.
January 14 每 15, 2010: Chinese Baking Contest Northeast Area Selection was held in Harbin.
March 5 每 6, 2010: Chinese Baking Contest North Area Selection was held in Beijing.
April 13 每 14, 2010: Chinese Baking Contest South Area Selection was held in Guangzhou.
April 16 每 18, 2010: Chinese Baking Contest East Area Selection was held in Shanghai.
May 20 每 21, 2010: Chinese Baking Contest Final was held simultaneously with the 14th China Bakery Exhibition 2010.

During the 14th China Bakery Exhibition, Chinese Baking Contest Final was held at event area of Hall 4.2, Pazhou Complex, on May 20 每 21, 2010.

Organized by All-China Bakery Association (ACBA) and operated simultaneously with the 3rd Bakery World Cup China Selection and the 3rd National Hotel Professional Contest Patisserie Final, Chinese Baking Contest was unveiled in June 2009 and was held its West Area Selection in December 2009 in Chengdu. After half-a-year tour around West, Northeast, North, South and East areas of China, Chinese Baking Contest became one of the highest level contests in China*s baking industry with the vastest coverage, the highest scale and the largest impact.

With top three contestants from each area selection in the categories of bread and patisserie respectively, Chinese Baking Contest Final selected the contestants on behalf of China to participate in Bakery World Cup. Contestants also competed for the awards, such as National Skilled Craftsman, China Top 10 Bread Chef, China Top 10 Patisserie Chef. Their extraordinary talents and performances feasted the eyes of the industry people. And their names will surely be remembered with Chinese Baking Contest in China*s baking industry.

Contestants: Selected from 5 areas, Shining at Pazhou Complex

All the contestants in Chinese Baking Contest Final were selected from the top three winners in each area selection in categories of bread and patisserie respectively. They won the contests with their capabilities and represented the highest level in their own area.

For better performances, all the contestants in Chinese Baking Contest Final assembled at Guangzhou Li Guo Xiong Baking Center to prepare and check their artistic models on May 19. For justice of the Contest, all the contestants picked their team number on site. And for publicity of the Contest, all the products must be made on site except the artistic models.

After 2 days competition, Liao Jinzhong from Shenzhen Yeun Long Food Co., Ltd and Wang Huan from Binzhou Taiyu Grain Co., Ltd were announced the champions of Chinese Baking Contest Final in the categories of bread and patisserie respectively. On behalf of China, Liao Jinzhong, winner of the bread category will participate in Bakery World Cup held in Lyon next March.

Jury: Domestic and Abroad Industry Tycoons

For the open and fair justice, the organization committee of Chinese Baking Contest invited industry experts as jury. The Contest Final Jury consisted of the Jury President 每 Gino Cao, China*s confectionary art master and the member of ACBA Expert Committee, and Jury Members 每 Gu Wenhui, Senior Baking Consultant of Lamsoon (HK) Group; E. Maillard, Technical Director of Lesaffre (Mingguang) Co., Ltd; Laetitia Domange, Baking Manager of Guangzhou Puratos Food co., Ltd; Li Hao, Holder of New Zealand National Chef Certificate for Western Style Cuisine; Fng Lixin, Chef of Guangzhou White Swan Hotel. Liu Keyuan, President of Shenzhen Liu Ke Yuan Art Patisserie & Cake Training School, was the Contest Supervisor.

Domestic and abroad industry tycoons as the jury could guarantee the open and fair justice of the Contest. Gino Cao and his jury members gave commentaries on site which added the interaction to the competition and made the visitors feel the glamour of Chinese Baking Contest.

For the success of the event, the organization committee of Chinese Baking Contest set feasible timeline and agenda for the event: setup on May 17, contestants assemble on May 19, press conference, opening ceremony and contest on May 20 and award ceremony and gala dinner on May 21. Thoroughly considered planning, smooth communication, devoted heart and strong operation guarantee the success of the large scale and high level Chinese Baking Contest, which also won high praise from jury, contestants, sponsors and visitors.

Visitors: Authorities and Industry People Attracted by the Contest

Chinese Baking Contest fully attracted industry people*s attention since its first area selection held in Chengdu last December. Many authorities and industry people presented at the opening ceremony and showed their good will for the event: Qu Huaiming, Vice President of All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce (ACFIC) and President of ACFIC Affiliate Chamber of Commerce; Zou Hong, Vice President of China Hotel Association; Wilson Wu, President of ACBA, Chi Xiangdong, Xie Yongkui, Fan Rongmei and Lu Wenbin, Vice Presidents of ACBA; Zhang Jingfu, Deputy General Secretary of China Hotel Association; Min Zhuojun, Chief Rep of SBA Consulting Group (China).

Meanwhile, Visitors from the industry witnessed a splendid show and were feasted their eyes by the glamour of baking art.

Summary

With half-a-year tour in 5 areas, industry big shots and young talents and wonderful competition, Chinese Baking Contest Final had its curtains down on May 21, 2010. The Contest set a standard and level for China*s baking industry and also successfully set a stage for baking stars. The Contest will be remembered in the history of China*s baking industry.
